With coronavirus wreaking havoc in Uganda and the rest of the world, many businesses are bound to close. Therefore, many people who depend on salary might lose their jobs.

That is why it is important to start a business that gives you daily income. Whereas it is great to invest in businesses that will give you returns in the long run, it is better to also have one that generates money to supplement your income daily.

Here are ideas of businesses that can generate profits of at least sh100,000 daily.

New regulations by the Uganda Revenue Authority and the Uganda Registration Services Bureau have created a demand for these services.

Although the trade, has been infiltrated by many quack masseuses, it can be a lucrative one, if done professionally.

Mobile hair plaiting services: For those with the skills, mobile hair plaiting is profitable. Clients pay sh50,000-sh250,000 for plaiting their hair.

Surprisingly, this business requires minimal startup capital. The clients themselves purchase whatever is needed for the plaiting.

Online websites like WIX, have eased the website designing process even for individuals with no programming or tech background.

Barbershop: Barbershops are a good source of daily income since people have to look good, every day.

Night car parking and washing bay: Night car parks are a good way to generate daily income with minimal effort. What one needs is a secure place, an armed security guard, and good lighting.

If you get 20 cars that pay sh5,000 per night, you are assured of sh100,000 per night.

Mobile money agent: Although being a mobile money or bank agent can be risky, it is a business that can ensure that its promoter earns a minimum of sh50,000- sh100,000 per day.
Fast food restaurant: When located in the right place, fast food restaurants can be profitable. Ideal locations include universities, boarding schools, and busy commercial areas.

Brokers charge a search fee of between sh50,000 and sh150,000, regardless of whether a premise is rented.
