The Bishop of Sebei Diocese, Rt Rev Masaaba Kipto, has praised Uganda’s progress under the leadership of President Museveni, attributing much of the country’s development to his vision and dedication.
Speaking on Thursday during the Presidential regional performance assessment tour focused on the Parish Development Model (PDM) and wealth creation in the Sebei sub-region, Masaaba highlighted the transformation Uganda has undergone since Museveni assumed power in 1986.
The Bishop reflected on the country’s state at the time Museveni took office and the progress achieved over the years, acknowledging Museveni’s commitment to addressing the needs of Ugandans and fostering development. Masaaba emphasized the President’s leadership qualities, describing him as a leader who prioritizes the well-being of citizens, advocates for wealth creation, and ensures peace across the nation.
Expressing his admiration for Museveni’s leadership, Masaaba conveyed his hope for continued guidance, noting the importance of the President’s contributions to the country’s future. He underscored the need for collective prayers for peace and prosperity and acknowledged Museveni’s focus on uplifting Ugandans from poverty.
During the tour, President Museveni urged the people of the Sebei sub-region to leverage the peace and development in Uganda to improve their economic well-being. He reminded the public of the importance of distinguishing between development and wealth and encouraged them to use the available opportunities to rise out of poverty. Museveni made these remarks while addressing residents in Kween District.
