A Kenyan woman sparked a heated conversation on TikTok after attending a service at Pastor Samuel Kakande’s church in Uganda with a younger companion. The man, identified as Edison Moseti, indicated that he received attention from many women, while the woman, named Rose Mogire, introduced him as her fiancé.
Mogire explained that she traveled from the United States and Moseti arrived from Qatar. The two had been living together in Nairobi for two months. She also mentioned covering Moseti’s travel expenses from Qatar because he was financially struggling at the time.
Pastor Kakande questioned the age difference between the couple and asked whether Mogire was effectively acting as a “sugar mummy.” Mogire, who is 50 years old, shared that she lost her husband 17 years ago and had since been caring for her children alone. She said she fell in love with Moseti soon after they started talking and had even promised to have a child with him.
The pastor expressed skepticism about Moseti’s motives, suggesting he might be benefiting from Mogire’s financial support. He then advised her to return to the United States without her fiancé, a recommendation that fueled widespread debate on social media.
