NUP’s Nalukola to Receive Shs55M March Salary and Shs300M Car Grant

Elias Luyimbazi Nalukola, the newly elected Member of Parliament for Kawempe North, officially took his oath of office on March 26, 2025.

Despite being sworn in just days before the end of the month, he is set to receive his full salary and allowances for March, amounting to Shs 55 million. In addition, parliamentary sources indicate that he will receive Shs 300 million before the month ends to purchase a new vehicle, a benefit extended to all MPs.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Speaker Anita Among instructed the Clerk to Parliament, Adolf Mwesige, to ensure that Nalukola receives all his entitlements immediately. She emphasized the importance of providing him with a vehicle to facilitate his movement and enable him to effectively represent the people of Kawempe North.

With his swearing-in complete, Nalukola officially begins his tenure as the representative of Kawempe North in Parliament. His election has been met with optimism from his constituents, who anticipate his efforts in addressing their concerns and promoting development in the area.
