Msgr. Expedito Magembe, the founder and spiritual leader of Mt. Sion Prayer Centre Bukalango, has died. His passing was confirmed by Fr. Pius Male Ssentumbwe, the Chancellor of the Kampala Archdiocese.
Msgr. Magembe was known for his work in establishing Mt. Sion Bukalango as a centre for prayer and healing. Many people from Uganda and beyond have visited the centre over the years for spiritual support.
He introduced charismatic worship within the Catholic setting, with services that included healing prayers and teachings focused on personal and spiritual renewal. He often led prayers aimed at breaking ancestral ties that he believed affected people’s spiritual lives.
His messages focused on faith, unity, and prayer. Many people have spoken about how his work helped them in their spiritual journey.
The Archdiocese of Kampala will announce the funeral arrangements. People are encouraged to continue praying for the repose of his soul.
