‘I’m Bleeding, He Stabbed Me’ – Woman Dies After Jealous Boyfriend Attacks Her in Buwama

A woman was tragically killed in Buwama Town Council, Mpigi District, on Thursday evening after her boyfriend stabbed her during a heated argument.

The victim, 28-year-old Sarah Namuddu, was attacked inside their rented room after an argument turned violent.

Neighbors said they heard the couple arguing loudly for several minutes before they heard Sarah’s screams.

Sarah managed to stagger outside the house, bleeding from a stab wound to her chest. As she collapsed in pain, she told neighbors,

“I’m bleeding, he stabbed me!” She also claimed that her boyfriend had attacked her because he suspected she was cheating on him.

One witness said,

“She was in a lot of pain and bleeding heavily. We tried to get her to the car so we could take her to the hospital, but she collapsed before we could help her.”

Sarah was rushed to Buwama Health Centre IV, but unfortunately, she was declared dead upon arrival.

The suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack, and police are now looking for him.

Authorities believe he used a kitchen knife, which was not found at the scene.

Police have sealed off the house to gather evidence, and statements have been taken from witnesses who live nearby.

ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, a spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, confirmed the incident and urged the suspect to surrender.

“We are doing everything we can to find him. We ask him to turn himself in to the nearest police station before we catch up with him,” he said.

The police have also transferred Sarah’s body to Mulago National Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination to help with their investigation.

This attack has shocked the community, and people are calling for more action to prevent domestic violence.

In a separate incident in Nakaseke District, a 16-year-old boy was found murdered while grazing goats, with deep cuts on his head and neck.

Meanwhile, in Mbale, a boda boda rider named Paul Wabwire was also killed and robbed of his motorcycle.

The wave of killings has raised concerns about safety, and many Ugandans are urging the authorities to improve police response and community safety.
