23-Year-Old Lady Who Left Home to Visit a Friend Found Dead

A family is grappling with the tragic death of their 23-year-old daughter, Seth Nyakio Njeri, who was found dead under mysterious circumstances.

Seth’s body was discovered on Monday, October 14, 2024, in a rented apartment in the Biafra area of Thika, raising numerous questions and leaving her family devastated.

According to her mother, Lucy Njeri, Seth left their home on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in high spirits, telling her mother she was visiting a friend in Thika in Kenya.

The two remained in contact until the next day, October 13, but soon afterward, all attempts to reach her through phone calls and messages went unanswered.

Concerned for her safety, the family initiated a search, but their worst fears were confirmed when a friend called with the shocking news of her death.

Speaking to Citizen TV, Lucy Njeri tearfully recalled the bond she shared with her daughter, describing the moment she found Seth’s body as a moment no parent should have to endure.

“I found my daughter lying peacefully; she was a good soul,” Njeri said. She also revealed that Seth had visible injuries on her neck, indicating she had been strangled.

Preliminary investigations by the police revealed that Seth had been assaulted before being killed. Detectives have focused their investigation on a male friend who was allegedly upset over a recent breakup with Seth.

However, the family has dismissed this theory, stating that the friend she visited in Thika likely knows more about what transpired.

“It was murder, and so many other shocking things happened that no parent or anyone else should go through,” said the heartbroken mother. “She was my only child.”
