A 62 year old man unable to control his emotions has hacked to death his younger 50 year old wife to death accusing her of dishing his goodies to a one Sam, a neighbor.
Godfrey Mulani killed his wife, Filister Buteme on Tuesday night, 24th September, 2024 at their residence in Masaba Cell, Tsebanyanya Ward Industrial Division in Mbale City.
According to Michael Watikhula, the defense LCI chairperson Masaba cell, Tsebanyanya ward industrial division in Mbale city, Mulani has been suspecting Buteme aged of having a love affair with Sam.
He says that on the fateful night, the couple picked a querell leading to a fight where Mulani picked a panga and hacked the deceased to death and then took off.
SP Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson has confirmed the incident saying police is currently hunting for Mulani.
He says that at crime scene police recovered exhibits like a panga, and clothes stained with blood.
Taitika adds that the body has been taken to Mbale city mortuary for postmortem warning married couples to always report their matters to police or local leaders for solutions.
