People in Mbarara and across Uganda are very sad and shocked after the sudden death of Denmark Adious Beinomugisha. He was a well-known young politician and used to be the guild president of Bishop Stuart University. Beinomugisha passed away early this morning at Mayanja Memorial Hospital after a bad fall.
According to reports, the accident happened last evening at the Grand Holiday Hotel in Mbarara. While walking down the stairs, Beinomugisha missed a step and fell hard.
He was rushed to the hospital right away, but sadly, the doctors could not save him. The Daily Monitor was the first to report his death, and since then, many people have shared their sadness and shock.
Beinomugisha was not only known for his role at Bishop Stuart University but also for being an active member of the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF), a new opposition political party in Uganda.
He was preparing to run for Member of Parliament for Mbarara City South. He believed strongly in standing up for the people and speaking for those who felt unheard in the Ankole sub-region.
Just a few days ago, on August 4, Beinomugisha spoke with the Daily Monitor about the challenges opposition parties face in western Uganda. He said it’s tough for them to grow and that they need more support and unity to be noticed and heard in the region.
His sudden death is a huge loss for many who saw him as a brave and hopeful leader. He was young, full of energy, and had many ideas to make his country better.
Many people are now grieving the loss of a leader who had so much more to give.
