TotalEnergies and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline Company have completed their move into RR Pearl Tower One, consolidating all Ugandan operations in a single building owned by billionaire property developer Sudhir Ruparelia.
The relocation brings TotalEnergies EP Uganda, TotalEnergies Marketing and Services Uganda and EACOP together at the newly developed tower on Plot 1, Yusuf Lule Road, in the heart of Kampala’s central business district. It marks the end of a fragmented setup that saw the companies scattered across multiple sites in the city.
Until now, TotalEnergies EP Uganda and EACOP operated out of Course View Towers along Yusuf Lule Road, while TotalEnergies Marketing and Services Uganda was based on 8th Street in the Industrial Area. The split created logistical friction between business units working on closely interconnected oil and gas projects.
By bringing all three entities under one roof, the companies expect to streamline coordination, speed up decision-making and improve alignment between the technical, commercial and project management teams driving Uganda’s petroleum development.
RR Pearl Tower One offers modern, energy-efficient office space designed for large corporate occupants. The building features flexible floor layouts, shared meeting facilities and sustainability-focused infrastructure that aligns with TotalEnergies’ global operational standards.
Its central Kampala location also puts the companies within closer reach of government ministries, regulators, financiers, suppliers and other key partners involved in Uganda’s upstream and midstream petroleum sectors.
The consolidation comes as TotalEnergies pushes forward with the Tilenga oil project and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline, two multi-billion-dollar ventures at the core of Uganda’s emerging oil industry. With both projects moving deeper into development and construction, housing all teams in a single location is expected to sharpen execution as the operational demands intensify.
For Ruparelia, the tenancy of a global energy major adds another high-profile occupant to his expanding commercial real estate portfolio in the capital.
