KAMPALA-Human Resource Managers Association (HRMAU) an umbrella body for Human Resource practitioners together with partners have launched the 2nd Edition of HR Sports gala scheduled to take place on 31st August 2024.
The focus for this year’s event is aimed at improving upon the health status of employees in various organizations as well as the general public
At the event held in Kampala on Thursday, Ronald Bbosa the President of Human resource Manager Association revealed that this year’s gala will be held Makerere University Business School (MUBS) under a theme: “Competitive health Choices for better work performance.”
“We look at reports concerning health status of employees in various organizations and we have realized that most ailments they suffer from can be prevented through having regular exercises. So its for that reason that we decided to prioritize sporting activities.” Remarked Bbosa
He also added that being an organization of over 1500 members, they expect to have a very big turn up at the gala who will not only participate in games and sports, but they will also participate in blood donation campaign to save lives of those in need.
“We call upon members of the general public to check for registration link on our website to be able to register and participate in the blood donation campaign.”
Tayebwa Clinton from Nakasero Blood Bank called upon people to turn up in large numbers and donate blood which will be used to save the lives of accident victims, mothers and other patients.
“Parents we know that this gala will take place in a holiday, bring all your children that qualify to donate blood. We hope to collect over 500 units of blood on that day.”
This day will bring together all human resources managers from across thw country to play , connect and network.
The event will feature competition among teams in football, netball, team building, athletics, Zumba , Volleyball and many others.
