Building Under Construction Collapses With Workers Inside

A building under construction in Mombasa County’s Majengo area collapsed on Monday, November 11, trapping one person under the rubble. The incident, which occurred in the morning, saw the building—barely reaching its first floor—crumble on one side.

The Kenya Red Cross confirmed that two individuals were rescued from the debris, while one person remained trapped. As of the latest update, no fatalities had been reported.

A multi-agency team, including the Kenya Police, Mombasa County officials, and the Kenya Red Cross, is currently conducting search and rescue operations at the scene. Images reveal significant structural damage, with construction workers gathering around the rubble, likely assisting with rescue efforts.
