Bushenyi Businessman Found Dead in Hotel

Police in Bushenyi District are investigating the death of a well-known local businessman who was discovered in a hotel room under mysterious circumstances.

The deceased, 54-year-old Isaac Ruhigwa Atwiine, a businessman from Bushenyi Town, was found dead overnight on Wednesday. He was a resident of Bwegiragye Cell, Ward IV, Ishaka Division in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality.

Reports indicate that on the evening of October 9, Atwiine arrived at Deluxe Hotel in Kizinda Town, accompanied by an unidentified woman. They were seeking accommodation, and hotel records show that the businessman’s details were noted, though he reportedly instructed the receptionist not to register the woman’s information.

The pair were given room D8, and at around 7:30 PM, the woman was seen leaving alone. Shortly afterward, she contacted the hotel owner, informing him that Atwiine was in a critical condition.

The hotel receptionist checked the room and found Atwiine lying lifeless on the bed. The police were immediately informed, and upon their arrival, they began investigations.

Atwiine was reportedly found fully covered with a bed cover, but without any clothes. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, with no arrests made yet.
