Businessman Killed in Brutal Home Attack, Wife and Son Injured

Police are investigating the murder of 50-year-old businessman Umar Nsubuga, who was attacked at his home in Kibaati village, Kachera sub-county.

Nsubuga was killed at night by unknown assailants, while his wife, Layirat Tukirize, and their 4-year-old son, Imram Nsubuga, sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at Rakai Hospital.

According to reports, four attackers entered the home under the cover of darkness. They restrained Nsubuga by tying him with ropes before stabbing him multiple times in the chest.

The incident is believed to have been linked to a family land dispute, as the family had been involved in several conflicts over land. Police have arrested a family member as a key suspect, and investigations are ongoing.
