The latest Land Cruiser on the market

CFAO, the distributor of Toyota cars and its products, has unveiled the latest Land Cruiser (250 Series) on the Ugandan market.

Edwin Muhumuza, the General Manager/Dealer Principal, Toyota Uganda, told the media in Kampala on Thursday that the car is a mixture of heritage and modernity, as well as a host of proactive and reactive safety features.

The car comes with an electric steering wheel (for less driving fatigue), a stabilizer disconnect mechanism, and over eight airbags for the driver and the passengers, among others. The car has a 2.8-liter diesel engine and is of a modular design aimed at keeping the cost of maintenance down. It also has a full-combustion engine and an eight-speed transmission for performance and fuel economy.

“This product has been built based on customer feedback,” said Muhumuza, adding: “We are confident that what we are unveiling doesn’t disappoint and is what Toyota stands for.”

According to Muhumuza, the car offers durability, reliability, and off-road aspects. “This is a product that we are so passionate about,” added Muhumuza.

The car goes for between Shs 315 million and Shs 380 million, depending on where one is buying from and how they are buying.

Once bought, Toyota Uganda will service it for the next 5 years or 100,000 kilometers.
