The Deputy Speaker, Tayebwa, has asked for patience after he and his team survived a helicopter crash, saying the team was given a second chance to live and is processing a lot.
“I was involved in an incident, a very unfortunate incident. With four colleagues, my press secretary and ADC, we had a very unfortunate incidence, but by God’s grace, we were given a second chance to live. We are still going through a lot as individuals. I received all your good wishes and prayers, and I know some people are hungry for news and details, but some of us are going through a lot, so I request we stop it at that,” said Tayebwa.
The Deputy Speaker also encouraged MPs to continue advocating for increased funding to the sports sector, saying the appropriation to the sector is already paying off through the results attained by Cheptegei, remarking, “The appropriation, support, and opportunities you have been giving to the sector are paying off, so I hope we can continue giving more and more to the sector.”
