Makerere University’s Academic Registrar’s Office has recently announced the list of government-sponsored students who have been admitted for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. Alongside the admission lists, the office also disclosed the cut-off points for government admissions.
A total of 18 students have been granted admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration program at Makerere University.
The Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering and the Bachelor of Agribusiness Management programs have each welcomed 13 new students. Meanwhile, the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program has opened its doors to 37 new students.
Seven new faces will be seen in the Bachelor of Applied Psychology program, while the Bachelor of Architecture program has enrolled 18 students.
The latter, a prestigious program, has seen significant contributions from Gayaza High School, with three students cutting. Mengo Secondary School has two of its students admitted, while St. Mary’s College Kisubi, Seeta High School, Kampala High School, Kitende S.S., and Namirembe Hillside Secondary School each have one student joining the program.
The Bachelor of Dental Surgery program, another esteemed course, has admitted 15 government-sponsored students. Uganda Martyrs S.S. Namugongo and Seeta High School have each contributed two students, while Gayaza High School, Maryhill High School, Kiira College Butiki, and Kibuli Secondary School have each had one student admitted.
The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program at Makerere University has admitted 46 students under government sponsorship. Many of these students hail from traditional schools renowned for their academic excellence, such as King’s College Budo, Uganda Martyrs S.S. Namugongo, Ntare School, Gayaza High School, Nabisunsa Girls’ School, and Mengo Secondary School.
These admissions underscore the diversity and academic prowess of the students who will be joining Makerere University and MUBS in the upcoming academic year.
