Eddy Kenzo recently shared details about the birthday celebration he organized for his daughter Maya Mirembe, which garnered significant media attention. The event saw the attendance of Mirembe’s mother, Rema Namakula, along with her current husband Dr. Hamza Ssebunya and their daughter Amaal. Also present was Kenzo’s fiancée, Fiona Nyamutoro, who serves as the State Minister for Minerals.
Photos of both families together were well-received online, with many praising the couples for their maturity and amicable relationship.
Kenzo explained that he invited the Ssebunyas because they are part of Maya’s family. He emphasized that the gathering was a reflection of unity and leadership, demonstrating that life doesn’t always need to involve conflict.
“It was a birthday, we and we called the family (of Maya) and when you call the family, they all have to be there,” he said.
“When you look at the time that Rema spent with Maya, and Maya of course is Amaal’s sister… everybody had to be there and it’s not bad.”
Kenzo said he did this as a leader, to show that life is not always about fights.
“It is humanity and that his how life is supposed to be,” he remarked in an interview with Noordeen Ntege.
The birthday marked a significant milestone as Amaal Musuuza turned 13 on September 28th.
