Police in Kibaale District have detained two individuals suspected of involvement in the murder of Michael Byaruhanga, a resident of Kijogoro village in Nyamarunda sub-county. The incident reportedly stemmed from a conflict over a romantic relationship.
Byaruhanga was allegedly killed during a violent confrontation after visiting his partner in Kijogoro. Another man, accompanied by a friend, arrived at the same location, claiming a relationship with the woman.
A confrontation followed, during which Byaruhanga was beaten and fatally stabbed. Police quickly responded to the scene, arresting the two suspects, who are now held at Kibaale Police Station.
