Kabale Police Arrest Driver and Conductor in Viral Overloading Video

Police in Kabale District have detained a motorcycle driver and his conductor after a video surfaced on social media showing their vehicle, a Toyota Noah with registration number UBB 302E, dangerously loaded and moving along the Kabale-Katuna Road.

In the footage, the conductor is seen seated in a precarious position beside loaded cargo atop the vehicle, a setup that authorities found extremely unsafe.

The Kigezi Region Police spokesperson identified the driver as Brian Akanyijuka and the conductor as Kennedy Kyokwijuka. Both are facing charges of dangerous loading, transporting passengers in a way that endangers lives, and operating without a license.

Upon completion of investigations, the two will be brought to court to face the charges, with authorities intending to discourage similar reckless acts by others in the future.
