Kagadi Policeman Arrested For Defiling 14-Year-Old Girl

Police in Kagadi have arrested one of their own for alleged aggravated defilement.

Special Police Constable (SPC) Frank Tibaingana, who is attached to Kitemba police post in Kicucura sub-county is accused of defiling a 14-year-old girl from the same village.

According to information obtained from the police, the suspect had long been defiling the minor until the victim’s aunt caught the officer red-handed on August 30. She reported the matter to Kagadi police.

Julius Hakiza, Albertine region police spokesperson says, Kagadi police immediately swung into action and arrested Tibaingana who was swiftly whisked to the Kagadi central police station where he is currently detained.

He says, once investigations are through, the police officer will be arraigned before the court to be charged with aggravated defilement. According to Hakiza, the defilement victim was subjected to a medical examination and the results indicated that she was severely defiled.
