Kasese Set to Host Mega Sports Gala for Peace and Tourism

The Goodluck Sports Foundation Uganda, in partnership with Musingika Tourism Company Limited, is organizing the Mega Sports Gala under the theme “Sports for Peace and Tourism.” The event is set to take place on December 22, 2024, at Kitswamba Boma Ground in Kasese, starting at 09:00am.

This Sports for Peace and Tourism tournament will bring people together to enjoy a wide range of sports, including Cricket, Basketball, Chess, Darts, Three-legged races, Volleyball, Rileys, Badminton, Tug-of-war, Bag racing and many more. It’s all about showing how sports can unite communities, inspire young people, and promote Kasese as a destination worth exploring.

Hon. Sowedi Kitanywa, the MP for Busongora North Constituency, will be the guest of honour, alongside the President’s of the specific sports federation. Their presence highlights the importance of the event in fostering peace and celebrating tourism through the power of sports.

This is more than just a day of a tournament; it’s a chance to experience the beauty of Kasese and the potential of sports to bring people together. The event is proudly supported by the Uganda Cricket Association, Youth Business Development (YBD), Aquafina, Kitswamba Farmer’s Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd, Macro Hardware, Sumz Crisps, and Post Bank Uganda.
