A man in Kamuli district is recovering after his left hand was amputated during a confrontation with a neighbor, whom he discovered having an affair with his wife.
Siraji Nsadha, 40, a resident of Bumbya-Bulungu zone in Namasagali sub-county, was attacked on the morning of Tuesday, September 17, 2024, by his neighbor, Moses Magumba, 34. Magumba allegedly severed Nsadha’s left hand during the altercation.
Nsadha had initially stormed Magumba’s house armed with a machete, but was overpowered. Magumba reportedly seized the weapon and used it to injure Nsadha.
From his hospital bed at Kamuli Mission Hospital, Nsadha recounted that he had unexpectedly returned home from the rice fields at around 10:30 a.m. to find his wife missing. After asking their daughter, who pointed him to Magumba’s house, Nsadha armed himself and went to confront them.
Upon entering the house, Nsadha claims he found the two in a compromising situation. In an attempt to strike Magumba, his attack was thwarted when the machete became tangled in a mosquito net. In the ensuing struggle, Magumba allegedly grabbed the weapon and struck Nsadha, severing his hand.
Neighbors responded to Nsadha’s cries for help and rushed him to Kamuli Mission Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, a search for Magumba led to his capture in a nearby sugarcane plantation, and he was handed over to the Namasagali Police Station.

Sorry, but he (Nsadha) deserved it.
Instead of attacking alone he would go with a few other neighbors, and police if possible.
