Man Shocked After Girlfriend of Three Years Marries Another Man Using His Money

A man was left heartbroken after discovering that his girlfriend of three years secretly married another man, using money he had given her for what he believed were preparations for her sister’s wedding.

The shocking betrayal has left the man devastated, with thoughts of ending his life.

Linguist and editor Maazi Ogbonnaya Okoro shared the man’s painful experience on Facebook, revealing the details of their WhatsApp chats.

According to the chats, the man, who has not been named, was led to believe that his girlfriend, Chidera, was preparing for her sister’s wedding. She informed him that the traditional wedding would take place on Friday, followed by the white wedding on Saturday.

Trusting her completely, the man took Chidera shopping in Onitsha market on Tuesday and Wednesday to help her prepare for the wedding.

He spent a considerable amount of money to ensure she had everything she needed. After the shopping, he even sent USh 430,000 to Chidera’s sister and put her on a bus back home on Thursday, believing he had done a good deed.

However, the reality of the situation hit him hard when he found out that it wasn’t Chidera’s sister getting married, but Chidera herself.

The woman he had loved and supported for three years had used his money to marry another man.
