Masindi Secondary Teacher Collapses Dead

Kabalega Secondary School in Masindi municipality is mourning the sudden death of a beloved teacher, Amos Kamanyire, who collapsed and passed away.

Kamanyire, a mathematics teacher, died on Saturday at midday. He had reported to work that day with no signs of illness and later returned home, where he collapsed while sitting in his living room.

Kamanyire was rushed to Kitara Medical Center for treatment but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Although the exact cause of his death remains unknown, it is suspected to have been a cardiac arrest, as Kamanyire had been in good health prior to the incident.

Kamanyire, who had served at Kabalega Secondary School for 33 years, was described by the headteacher as a dedicated and hardworking educator who will be deeply missed by both students and colleagues.

A requiem service will be held at St. Matthew’s Cathedral at 8:30 a.m., after which Kamanyire’s body will be taken to his home in Kitojo cell, Karujubu division, Masindi district, for burial.
