Two individuals, Tapenesi Kazibira and her daughter, Manjeri Nabirye, tragically lost their lives after coming into contact with a live wire while performing household chores.
Initial investigations suggest that Kazibira was hanging clothes on a wire line outside their home when she encountered the live electricity. Nabirye, in an attempt to save her mother, also suffered fatal electrocution.
The bodies have been transported to Kamuli General Hospital Mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
Investigations are ongoing to determine how live wires came into contact with the area where the incident occurred.
