Musician Killed After Being Mistaken For A Thief

Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer Mandojo has tragically passed away after being beaten to death. The popular artist was reportedly mistaken for a thief, leading to the brutal attack.

Musician Soggy Doggy confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media, expressing his deep sorrow: “My heart is in great pain. I will miss you very much, my brother and friend. Rest in peace, Mandojo. Truly, human life is very short on this earth. My deepest condolences to his brothers, relatives, and friends. God’s work has no mistakes.”

Domo Kaya, another close colleague, also paid tribute to Mandojo, sharing his disbelief and grief: “I can’t believe this. The 22nd of this month was supposed to be your birthday. This is so sad. Rest in peace, my friend and brother. May God grant you eternal light.”

Mandojo’s death occurred just days before his birthday. He was well-known for his hit songs, including “Nikupe” and “Dingi,” and his loss is felt deeply across the Tanzanian music community.
