Nine-year-old found hanging in police barracks

Police in Kampala have launched an investigation into the death of a nine-year-old boy who was found hanging in the Nsambya Police Barracks.

Aeron Omagor, a resident of F” Coy Bombo Quarters in Nsambya Police Barracks, Makindye Division, was discovered hanging inside his home after using a shoelace.

On the morning of October 6, 2024, Omagor was reportedly at home with his sister, Asiu Melvin, after attending prayers.

While playing, he entered their house and later sent his sister and another child away. His sister later found him hanging.

A housemaid notified Kabalagala Police, who responded to the scene and examined the body. No physical injuries were observed, and the body was transferred to Mulago City Mortuary for further examination.
