Reverend Arrested over Alleged Defilement of Four Students

Police in Kiboga have arrested a reverend on allegations of defiling four students at the school where he serves as principal.

Rev. George William Luyimbazi, affiliated with All Saints Church and Principal of Bamusuta Vocational Institute in Kiboga, was taken into custody after the victims reported the incidents to the police, according to the Wamala Region Police spokesperson, Racheal Kawala.

The alleged offenses took place between June and October 2024, involving female victims aged between 16 and 18. Initial investigations suggest that the reverend committed the alleged acts at various times in both his church residence and on school premises.

Following statements from the victims, medical examinations were conducted, which revealed that one of the victims is pregnant.

Police intervened and took the suspect into custody after parents surrounded him. He is currently detained at Kiboga police station as investigations proceed.
