Effective September 3, new bank notes of the 5000 and 2000 denominations will be in circulation, the Rwanda central Bank announced on Friday.
“The National Bank of Rwanda wishes to inform the general public that it has released new series of banknotes in the denominations of 5,000 and 2,000. These banknotes will be in circulation effective September 03, 2024,” the Central Bank said in a statement.
