SAD! Senior 4 Student Dies After First UCE Exam

Bwera Secondary School is mourning the tragic death of Sulaina Nabasirye, a Senior Four candidate, who passed away on Monday night.

Nabasirye had just completed her first Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exam earlier that day. After finishing her first paper, she returned to the dormitory to rest following evening preparations.

Later that evening, she was suddenly struck by a severe headache, and her condition quickly worsened. Teachers rushed her to Bwera General Hospital for emergency treatment, but despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Her untimely death has deeply affected the school, with students, parents, and staff left in shock. Friends and classmates remembered her as a bright and promising student with a hopeful future.

School authorities and medical professionals are currently investigating the cause of her sudden illness and death. Initial reports suggest a possible underlying medical condition, with further investigations underway to determine the exact cause.

Birungi Solomon, the senior man teacher at Bwera Secondary School, expressed deep condolences to Nabasirye’s family, describing her as an exemplary student whose loss has deeply impacted the school community.
