Singer Alien Skin And His Bodyguard Granted Bail

Singer Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, and his bodyguard, Julius Mugabi, have been granted bail by Makindye Magistrate’s Court, presided over by Chief Magistrate Esther Adikin.

The duo appeared in court this morning amid chants from the singer’s supporters. They were present for the second hearing of their bail application, which had been denied earlier in the week.

Magistrate Adikin granted bail under strict conditions, including a cash payment of Shs 1 million for each accused person and Shs 5 million for their sureties.

Additionally, they are prohibited from leaving the country without court permission and have been warned against interfering with the victims, either directly or through social media.

The case is scheduled to return to court on January 13, 2025, for further proceedings.

The duo is facing charges related to causing grievous harm at St. Francis Hospital in Nsambya.

According to court records, Alien Skin, Mugabi, and others who remain at large allegedly assaulted Zaidi Matovu, Alex Odongo, and Anthony Munyanda at the hospital on November 19. The incident reportedly occurred following the death of their colleague, Joram Tumwesigye, who died at the hospital after a car accident.
