Three Arrested For Producing Fake National IDs, Passports

Kampala police have arrested three individuals accused of forging security documents in a raid conducted near Ben Kiwanuka Street at the former Shoprite building.

The suspects, identified as Bagonza Eric (28), Kati Ronald (36), and Mwoko Parnento (24), were allegedly posing as Airtel agents while engaging in illegal activities. They are accused of printing and producing counterfeit security documents, including National IDs, passports, and Airtel telecommunications registration forms.

During the operation, police seized various items, including a machine believed to have been used in the forgery process.

The Central Police Station’s Criminal Investigation Department is currently recording statements from the suspects and working to trace the owners of the recovered National Identification Cards. These findings are expected to inform the next steps in the investigation.
