Two Germans Involved in Road Crash in Rubirizi

Police in Rubirizi District are investigating the circumstances surrounding a serious accident involving two German nationals. The incident occurred at Nyamuhuru, within the Queen Elizabeth National Park, along the Kasese-Ishaka road.

Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi Police, confirmed that the accident involved a silver-grey Toyota Wish, registration number UBH 444P, and a red Sino truck, registration number UBG 572Y. According to Tumusiime, the truck, which was carrying sand from Ishaka to the Hima cement factory, reportedly lost control and veered into the oncoming lane, colliding head-on with the Toyota Wish.

The two German nationals involved in the crash have been identified as Stappen Bacher Florian Franz, 38, and Muller Mathias Wolfgang, 41. They were immediately rushed to Rubirizi Medical Center for medical treatment.

Police investigations into the accident are ongoing to establish further details and determine the cause.
