Ugandans flock to China Town Store in Lugogo for ‘cheap’ products

Ugandans have been queuing up at the newly opened China Town store in Lugogo Shopping Mall, Kampala, eager to purchase what they perceive as low-cost products.

The store occupies the space previously held by Game, and since its official opening on Saturday, it has drawn large crowds.

The excitement among shoppers is palpable, with many flocking to the store in hopes of securing bargains.

Social media has been abuzz with people sharing prices, quickly drawing attention to the fact the China Town Store is undercutting typical retail prices. Despite the enthusiasm, some shoppers have voiced concerns over the quality of the products. However, others have noted that the quality is reasonable given the pricing.

Crowds continued to line up well into the night, a scene likely boosted by the fact that many had just received their monthly salaries.

While the opening of China Town Store has been met with enthusiasm by many bargain hunters, it has also sparked a debate.
