Following the dismissal of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka, Deputy Executive Director David Luyimbazi, and Director of Public Health Dr. Daniel Okello, social media users are calling for Jennifer Musisi, the former KCCA Executive Director, to return.
Musisi left KCCA in 2018 to work as a consultant, but many are now remembering her determined way of getting things done. The Kiteezi landfill disaster, which led to the officials’ firing, has sparked nostalgia for her tenure.
Eng. NellyTM tweeted, “President @KagutaMuseveni, please reappoint @JenniferMusisi as @KCCAUG ED. Remove politics from Kampala and bring her back to restore order.”
Jokivz commented, “Jennifer Musisi is like an ex you can’t stop thinking about… Kampala needs her again.”
Zziwa Majaju pleaded, “Maama @JenniferMusisi, come save Kampala again; we’re sorry for what happened.”
Gerald Tibbs apologized on behalf of Ugandans, “We were wrong, Maama @JenniferMusisi.”
With top KCCA positions now vacant, some suggest encouraging Musisi to apply.
In 2011, President Museveni appointed Musisi to lead Kampala’s transformation as KCCA’s first head, receiving strong presidential backing.
Her impactful tenure garnered significant media attention, earning praise for improving the city and criticism for her methods.

If I can meet President , One thing I would beg him to reconsider, is to re-appoint Jenifer Musisi. She really was passionate about the City.
