Police in Kasangati are holding one of their own over defilement.
The suspect has been identified as Police Constable Kadda Samuel (NO. 38126).
Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire said in a statement on Wednesday that Kadda is being held for defiling his 13-year-old biological daughter, a student at a local school and resident of Kasangati Police Barracks.
According to Owoyesigyire, the victim reported that her father, with whom she shares a room, has been sexually assaulting her for some time.
“She confided in a neighbor, who took her to the Child and Family Protection Office, where a case was filed on September 30, 2024,” said Owoyesigyire. “The suspect is in police custody, and the matter is under investigation.”
Owoyesigyire condemned the act and assured the public that the case will be thoroughly investigated.
