Shock as Two Bar Attendants Die Mysteriously in Kanungu

Police in Kanungu District have recorded two sudden death cases involving two bar attendants, 27-year-old Babra Ninsiima and 28-year-old Nabasiita Promise, both of whom worked at Matanda Trading Center in Kihihi Sub-county. Despite their connection through work, the two passed away under different circumstances.

According to Kigezi Regional Police, Ninsiima fell ill on October 30, 2024, beginning with vomiting and complaints of stomach pain. She was rushed to Kigezi Community Hospital by her employer’s wife, Mutesa, but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. A police team from Kihihi Police Station inspected the scene, and Ninsiima’s body was taken to Kihihi Health Centre IV Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.

In a separate incident, Nabasiita’s employer, Emmanuel, received a call from Sunday, a boda boda chairman at Matanda stage, advising him to check at Nabasiita’s door. On arrival, he heard her screaming from inside the room, prompting them to force the door open, only to find her in critical condition. She was immediately taken to Kihihi Health Centre IV, where she was declared dead on arrival.

Reports suggest Nabasiita had a history of what is described as demonic attacks, and it is suspected that she may have sustained injuries herself. Police documented the scene, and a post-mortem examination was conducted at Kihihi Health Centre IV as investigations continue.
